My Fave Five from 2010

Debby has done it again, she wants to see our fave five from this year .. what a fantastic idea for the end of the year but oh so hard to pick just five!
She is also offering this yummy candy as well ... Penny Black stamps.. don't have any of these stamps ... want want want :))

So here goes...

This is definitely my most fave. It is the first Autumnal card I did and had really loved the warm colours instantly.

This one I did quite recently, love the cute kitty and the bright colours on the card.

A baby card now and lots of embossing. Also another first here, my first White on White card.

Another kitten and again lots of embossing... I LOVE embossing so much.

And a wedding card now, with some embossing again.

So, are you joining Debby? I really enjoyed looking back at the cards I did this past year, and I have to say that I have to admit I did improve a bit .. all thanks to the inspiration I find here on blog world. Thank you ladies .. you're the best xxx

Wishing you all a Happy New Year and all the best for 2011 !!!

Stamp Fairy Friday

I still didn't find my lost stamps yet, but I sure am feeling so much better today after seeing all your lovely and thoughtful comments. Talking about it was the best medicine ... so now I'll be waiting with the hope they crop up from somewhere ha ha ...

It's Friday today and so time for another new gorgeous release from Stamp Fairy. We have George Cocoa this week and he is one of six new digis released today! I decided to make a Christmas Card with my George stamp... it's never too early to start he he .. and anyway I'm still in the Christmas card-making mood so it came out quite naturally.

For my card I used some lovely digi papers from Crafty Sentiments, a Stamp Fairy sentiment, some nice silver ribbon and also a large silver recycled bow from a box of chocolates. The border punch is Martha Stewart.
Everything is all popped up with foam.. I really loved how it turned out. . Here is the sketch that I followed
Don't forget that today is the last day of the Stamp Fairy Sale.

Did you see the other gorgeous December Releases ?.... go get them before the sale ends...

Welcome Little One

I don't want to say this.. but I'm really miserable today, actually.. even yesterday I was.. and you know why ... I can't find a whole set of stamps   : |   .. I even woke up very early today, couldn't sleep as still thinking of where they might be. I turned my craft room upside down to search for them, wasted so much time, had so many things planned and even my kids and hubby helped me when they saw me like this, but still nothing! I last used three from the set on Sunday for my penguin card and then yesterday, when I went to put them in their place, they're gone... I just couldn't find the rest of the set!!!

I am really hoping they didn't end up in the trash by mistake... ... sniff sniff

... but now enough of my bad mood... sorry if I bored you ..

Onto my card now... I managed to stop moaning and did this to cheer me up. It's for a colleague of mine who is expecting her first baby this month. She didn't tell us if it's a boy or a girl, so I did a girl for now and will be doing a boy later on.. Don't want to leave it 'til the last minute.. as I always do..

For my card I used my Pink Gem Cutie Pie Stamp, which I coloured with my promarkers, the papers are from DCWV, and this is the sketch that I followed.

My Fave Five Christmas Cards

If you're looking for the ABC Christmas Blog Hop - Go here

I like Debby's idea to show your favourite five Christmas Cards for this year and so I decided to join in as well ...

So here they are... This is the last one I did and must be my most favourite as it shows the true spirit of Christmas and what Christmas is all about after all.

Again embossing on this card, I love embossing but I like this one also for being so bright, colourful and fun...

This is one of the first ones I did this year. Had so much fun colouring it and doing all the snow on the stamp by distressing.

Love this cheeky snowman on this one and all the glitter on the snowflakes.

And this one for the cute Santa and the simple style but also for how the glitter on the light bulbs seems to really make them look so real.

So which are you favourites ? Just pop over to Debby's blog and link them up for your chance to win some yummy goodies. Candy closes on the 29th of December.

Not A Christmas Card

.. yes for a change.. it's not that I won't be doing any more, but for today I got this birthday card which I done for a friend.. and a really quick one too it had to be, as haven't been indoors much these last few days. Yesterday, Christmas Day, first family visiting and then for the day at hubby's brother. Today, out for the day again, lunch out in Valletta and then went to see the Chronicles of Narnia. Fantastic film, we all loved it and a lovely day well spent will family. It's what I love about Christmas and what Christmas is all about ...

But back to my card now, I hope our friend will take the joke .. ha ha :) As soon as I saw these penguins I just fell in love with them and now I thought they were just perfect for the card I wanted.

The fun penguins stamp is from Digi Doodle Shop's Best, the sentiments I just printed off on the computer, and to do the stamping I used my Inkadinkadoo clear stamps set. Doesn't show much, don't get good photos indoors, but there is embossing on the circles and star as well.

I am entering my card in these challenges today

The Pixie Cottage 50 - PARTY/CELEBRATION

Merry Christmas Everyone

Hello my friends. I've been having a little break from the blog world this week, but today I definitely wanted to come here with this card and take this opportunity to wish you all, and your families a Merry Christmas.

So this is a card I made today for the village priest here where I live. The helpers organised to buy him a robe as a present and wanted me to make a card for him as well. I was flattered, and they are also going to give it to him this evening at the midnight mass.... did you ever see a walking beetroot... well I'm going to be one this evening!!!! I am really not good with these things....

Anyways, I thought this image of baby Jesus from Karen's Doodles was perfect for this occasion and just right to post today, on Christmas Eve as well. I coloured stamp with my promarkers, some glitter with my gel pens all around and lots of embossing today. The stickers are from Anita's Glitterations.

And of course .. some challenges now... all ANYTHING GOES ...

Some Photos and Blog Awards

I NEVER ATE SO MUCH !!! .. Today we've been out all day long... We had our Staff Christmas Lunch and it was a buffet! I do take care on what to eat usually, but today, after I saw all the goodies... I couldn't help it... especially when it came to the dessert yum yum yum ..

This is my plate with the dessert ... I was a real piggy
This is all made of chocolate.. just for display
and I also took the opportunity to take some pictures outside from the hotel terrace. It was a really lovely sunny day today, nice and warm .. 19C

Me all dressed up for the day.
and hubby

It was a lovely day, really enjoyed it and so fun meeting colleagues away from work.

Now I have a blog award as well, but I am also sooo sooo bad. I got this awesome award from my lovely blogger friend Corry this week and also from another sweet friend Kathy K a while back and never got round to posting it! Well, it's better late than never. Thank you girls, I am so flattered to have been awarded with this awesome award... I love it xx

Now, as you know there are rules with these awards, and I really do hate rules, and these are, share 8 things about yourself,  thank the person, pay it forward to 8 bloggers, contact them and tell them about the award.

So about the 8 things about myself, I really hate this, I always don't know what to say and it really is too much to think about at the moment haha :) I'll try to think about something later on and come back....

and since I got it twice I can forward it to more than eight persons so I am forwarding it to all my new team mates at Stamp Fairy ..

Lisa Haines
Lisa Vaughan

Now I'm off to let them know about it.. and hopefully a nice rest afterwards.

Thanks for looking today.

Quick and Simple Cards

AND I AM back .. but I don't just have my cards ... I had a little surprise this morning 'cos I got my Christmas present early and found myself choosing a pair of lovely earrings from the jewellery shop :))

Can you see them? I'm in Valletta here already wearing my new earrings and of course my sun glasses to hide my wrinkles he he.. and a cap which I had got while in New Zealand last year and which I hardly wear 'cos it's never really that cold here ..
... but thought it really matched my new jacket that I bought last week. A jacket which I really could do without, but loved the colour so much ...
Aww but we need to spoil ourselves sometimes I think. Anyways here are my quick cards now which I told you about in my previous post...

This is the quickest one, just some embossing, dimensional stickers which I had bought from Australia last year, peel offs for the string and greeting and of course a little bow.
And for these two I used my Inkadinkadoo clear stamps. Very quick ones too, just two shades of blue for the snowflakes ..
and a little colouring with my promarkers on the images .. Can't see it, but there is also some very fine glitter all over which I did with my gel pens by smudging it all over.
I did a couple of these and so I am finally ready with my Christmas cards for this year!!! Not my usual style, and don't really like to make the same card more than once but I finally gave up and just did these... Hope the receivers will like them :)

A quick post today, but I wanted to say thank you to Jacque as I won one of her awesome candies this week...  woo  hoo ... Couldn't believe it when I saw my name there! Definitely a lovely Christmas present :) Don't forget to go visiting, she makes the most amazing cards, truly an inspiration.

Hello everyone, it's Friday and so time for another new gorgeous release from Stamp Fairy, and yes, we have another new Friday Freebie for you! It's Kasi Happy Life this week and he is one of four new digis released today!

I decided I wanted Kasi to be a white kitten, so after the third attempt, I finally was pleased with this one. I coloured him with promarkers and the pink on his cheeks is chalk. The butterfly is from Papermania, stamp from  my Hero Arts clear stamp set and border and leaf punches are Martha Stewart.

Hi everyone, it's Blog Hop time this week at ABC Christmas Blog, lots of prizes and Stamp Fairy is sponsoring as well! Here is the card I made for the hop, following one of the past challenges L for LIGHTS. I thought this adorable Santa was just perfect for this theme.
I coloured stamp with my promarkers and then added some chalk all around and glitter with my glitter pen as well. Can you see the shine and shimmer around the light bulbs :) The sentiment is also from Stamp Fairy. Lots of embossing on my card today, quite a simple card I think but really loved how it turned out.
